Stow Food Pantry
Helping Stow and surrounding communities for more than 25 Years!

About Us

The Stow Food Pantry has been serving the town of Stow and the surrounding towns of Acton, Bolton, Lancaster, Maynard and Boxborough for over 25 years. Our Pantry is held at the First Parish Church in Stow on two Friday mornings each month. Our goal is to provide enough food to help a family eat for one week.

We are privately funded and rely on the generosity of the communities we serve. We are a fully volunteer organization operating under the leadership of a Board of Directors whose members are also unpaid volunteers.

We would like to acknowledge the Acton-Boxborough United Way for their ongoing support in the form of a generous grant.

[2] Donate Food and Toiletries

There are several ways to donate food and toiletries to the Stow Food Pantry.

  • Drop off donated items in the Food Pantry container at the post office and at Shaw's.
  • Bring donations to the Food Pantry in the vestry at First Parish Church between 4 and 5 p.m. on the stocking dates (see table below).
  • Each fall the post office holds an annual "Postal Pantry Food Drive". During a one week period (this year it's from October 5th through the 10th), residents can place one item in their mailbox for pick up by their carrier.
  • Organize a neighborhood food drive.
Please Note.  We do not have large refrigerated or frozen storage capacity, so donations should be limited to non-perishable items such as:
              Spaghetti sauce                         Pasta                                Lunchbox snacks
Canned vegetables & fruit           Crackers and cookies          Coffee and tea
              Laundry detergent
Personal care items (Toothpaste, Toothbrushes, Deodorant, Adult Diapers, etc.)

   Thank you!!

[3] Volunteer

Are you looking for a way to help families in need?
If you have some time on the stocking dates shown in the table below, just drop by the Pantry around 4 p.m. and we'll put you to work! This is a busy time since we need to check expiration dates and distribute donations to their appropriate locations.
There are also opportunities to work at the Friday pantries when our clients arrive. You must be at least 18 for this activity. For more information, contact us at 978-897-4230 and leave a message for our Volunteer Coordinator.

2016 Pantry Dates, Stocking Dates and Specials

Please note: if the Nashoba Regional School District is cancelled due to bad weather, the Stow Food Pantry will be closed as well.
